Day 8 of MicroOlymics 2022 and Things Are Getting Tight

13/2/2022

Things are getting tight at the top with Woodlandia staying in first place, but New Weddington level on points – listed as second due to a gold medal difference of just one. Scone remain in Bronze position with a decent showing, picking up 22 points to take them within 9 of top spot.

Shedingeh also have a great run, moving to fourth place at the expense of Lehmark who move down to fifth with a poor points tally of 5. Transnistria match them on 5 points and stay put in the league at sixth.

Hutt River, Dubast and Begley Commonwealth all stay in last week’s league positions. Hutt River stay seventh despite a lowly 5 points and Dubast hanging on to eighth with just one point scored yesterday. Kudos to Begley’s Big Blitz adding 8 points and a third gold to stay in ninth.
At the wrong end of the league are Arkadelphia gaining a gold to stay in tenth place, followed by Vurmond who gain a silver medal to remain in eleventh -  and finally Angosvria is in twelfth, failing to add any medals to add to their total of 3 points; and hanging onto that wooden spoon.

Seven chances to win a medal coming up today so let’s see what changes the league brings over the next 24 hours…the top half of the table could bring up some surprises and there’s opportunities mid table, and the bottom of the league is still battling for a foothold in the higher order
