But not all work – Christmas break to look forward to with no matches from 19th December until Boxing Day on 26th; so time for a mince pie and a mulled wine or three over the festive season 😉
First down to business – which teams are getting the latest Xbox for Chrissie and which have to make do with a stick and hoop and a lump of coal? Let’s take a look and see which Managers have been well-behaved enough for a visit from Santa’s XI, and which have been naughty and earned a red (nosed reindeer) card??
Well the top three careen into the 600+ club with New Weddington Warriors still doggedly hanging on to top spot which the Lundenwic Lions continue to chip away at the lead – a case of slow but steady for them at this stage. Shedingeh are still matching the Warriors point for point; biding their time to make a move later in league perhaps?
Novascurra Jesters not quite reaching the heady heights of 75 points from last week, but a decent score is enough to keep them in 4th place, with 5ht place Lehmark Legends still chasing having closed the gap from four to three points between them. The Isle of Lithua – taking a decidedly transfer-free approach shows signs of faltering with a low 26 points but are still looking safe in top 6 for now, being 61 points clear of 7th place United Mathisian Kingdom.
Espoona stay 8th after following up last week’s 70 points with a pretty average 33 point this week, and it’s a similar story with Pikeland Holy Crusader who remain in 9th position.
Next up sees the one position change this week with H.E.R. Saints continuing to keep their momentum going, 33 points being enough to overtake the Principality of Sealand taking 10th place and pushing last week’s wooden spoon holder down into 11th.
And finally, still firing on no cylinders, we find Mastatonia – stuck in 12th having wrested the wooden spoon away from Sealand with a lowly 11 points. At this state they could still work some miracles and get into the cup/medal places; but it’s all starting to look a bit mathematical.
So there you go! Be safe over the run-up to Christmas:
- Wear a mask
- Get vaccinated
- Don’t accept any party invitations from Boris Johnson!
