Whilst the currently unclaimed New Weddington Isles (formerly the Royal Company’s Islands, the nearest sovereign overseas territory being Tasmania, Australia, 940 miles to the northeast) remains remote and outside of international waters, pending occupation by our State Government they remain Covid free and this is likely to remain the case for the foreseeable future.

However, whilst we work towards our ultimate goal of occupation of the islands, the New Weddington Isles Government and Office of the Lord of the Manor remains located in terra aliena in the prime Administrative Consul located in Canberra, Australia.

Whilst there are no current cases of Covid in Canberra; for the purposes of consistency of approach to the Federal Government Covid strategy, any person travelling between Canberra and other States is subject to exemption and will be required to hotel quarantine for 14 days.

From Monday 28th June until further notice mask wearing is mandatory in public places, on public transport and indoor settings including retail. New Weddington Subjects are allowed to travel across the border into Canberra but not beyond, and the face mask directive applies. Medical advice can be provided via teleconference, and essential shopping will be conducted by non-contact order delivery.

Wearing of face masks will be mandatory by all those within the Consul premises during visits from third parties. Those failing to comply will be refused entry and will be subject to sanction as determined by Lord Watitune.

By order of 29th June 2021, Lord Watitune, Lord of the Manor of The New Weddington Isles.
