Good news for sports fans and followers of the New Weddington Isles alike - a date has been agreed to restart the Australian Rules Football Premier League (in which the New Weddington Isles fields a virtual team via the online AFL Fantasy Classic league) - the first games are scheduled for Thursday 11th June - although these will be played behind closed doors.
The New Weddington Isles FC (nicknamed the 'New Weddington Warriors') maintain a strong presence in this league - being currently 6th in the AFL Fantasy Classic League (only separated from first by goal difference after 1 game)... We also field a virtual team in the English Premier League - though this remains on hold. Our AFL relationship comes from our Prime Consul being currently located in Canberra. To celebrate this milestone we have released our Official New Weddington Isles "Warriors" Team tops.
