Tomorrow marks a momentous day in New Weddington Isles’ history and future mission to work not just with the micronational, but also the macronational world. As many of you may know, the Isles’ government (Prime Consul) is located in ex aliena in Canberra in the ACT, capital of the huge Country of Australia.
The 13th March is Traditionally Canberra Day, a public holiday and a coming together of different macro-countries from around the globe in a display of multicultural unity.
In recognition of the New Weddington Isles’ local community activities since its founding, the ACT Government have taken to unique step of offering us representation at this event; where we will be wearing national shirts, taking part in the multinational, displaying key artefacts, giving out information leaflets and proudly flying the flag! The press will be in attendance also.
Just sorting out items to take and trying on the NWI shirts (and flag) for size… exciting times, we will keep you posted.
