As the world leaders sat down to their lavish gala dinner in Spain yesterday, i received a poignant reply via Facebook from the Ukrainian Embassy here in Canberra.
You may be aware that Lord Watitune, John Brookes, is also a photographer in the macro world. Having published an image "Ukraine: The Long Road Ahead" in local media he decided to frame the original print and gift it on behalf of the New Weddington Isles to the Ukrainian Embassy here in Canberra.
Yesterday, the following kind reply was received:
"Many thanks Lord! thank you very much for your gift. We really appreciate it. We will reach out to you if we need any help with photography or fundraising. Best regards, Team of the посольство україни."
Kind of them to respond giving their many pressing concerns at present (ps: external shot only as no cameras in the Embassy building allowed) . I wish we could do more here at the Isles...
