If any micronations are seeking landed territory there is a new - as yet unclaimed - island recently discovered by accident on a scientific expedition. According to media giant Reuters "Scientists last month set foot on a tiny island off the coast of Greenland which they say is the world's northernmost point of land and was revealed by shifting pack ice."
The Kingdom of Denmark - of which Greenland is a territory - have stated they have no intention of claiming the island, although theoretically the US, Russia and Canada may take an interest if fishing stocks in the area make it worthwhile... so get in quick!
