Round 13 – Close of Play

27/1/2022

And that’s it – the BBL Competition is over for another year… ironic it ends on Round 13 as it turned out to be an unlucky one for the better known Micronations taking part…  The New Weddington Warriors had their moments, but the Lehmark Lightning struggled to get off the ground and both teams took an exit before the Finals rounds, being 5th and 6th out of 6 teams.

At the other end it came down to The Phantom vs Sangster’s Paradise with the Phantom taking the league honours – congratulations!

To be fair New Weddington and Lehmark had their work cut out, ALSO competing in the MicroNations League Soccer Cup AND  the AFL Womens’ Tipping League.

Cricket is our national sport so, to keep it ‘doable’ for hopefully more micronations next BBL Season we will trial the Mens’ and Womens’ Tipping Version of the game, similar to the AFL format – no more complexities of over-rates, batting averages etc – just straightforward tip on which team is going to win in each round’s match up. Sound good? Let us know in the comments below (no sledging 😊)

Now, who’s odd on for the next AFLW game…..?
