After a rocky mid-season, the Warriors BBL Cricket team have had a great late run in their inaugural season, with a convincing win in the Eliminator round to reach the Knockout round. New Weddington Sports are working on strategy for this penultimate game (tonight) with a win promising a guaranteed placed in the FINALS, where the two top teams will play for the League trophy.
In the absence of a Women’s AFL Virtual League comp the New Weddington Warriors AFLW have pressed on and are competing in “Carla’s Comp” online tipping league; where teams simply score points each round through predicting winners and losers each week.
So far it’s 2 out of 4 for the Warriors with 3 more games to go today in Round 1. But it’s early days and we remain hopeful of moving up the ladder in coming weeks.
