After a tough AFL season, the New Weddington Warriors are placed at 10th going into the qualifying / elimination stages.
The lowest 4 places teams from the league are now eliminated, however the Warriors has escapred this to gain a place in the Consolation Finals, where teams placed 9 – 16 compete in a knockout tournament. This runs in tandem with the Grand Finals, competed for by top 8 teams from League.
Whilst disappointed at missing out on a Grand Final spot, our 10th league placing means that we are guaranteed to proceed to a Semi Final eliminator following this weekend’s Quarter Final round.

Basically we are still in the competition for the next 2 weeks with a chance to win the Consolation Final to play for.
We will update on results and then, without time to catch our breath, the New Weddington Isles FC will be starting their campaign August 13th in the English Premier Soccer league, in a dedicated online MicroNational League.
