As the AFL Women’s league nears the halfway point of the season, the New Weddington Warriors are still in the running – sitting firmly in joint 4th place with 9 others teams, in a league of 49.
Only 3 points separate 4th place and the top spot, and the Warriors were in 2nd place over much of the weekend before a couple of tight results went against them.
Still plenty to play for and the New Weddington Department of Sports will be busy over the next few weeks with not just the AFLW team but also the AFL Men’s league starting on 18th March and the launch of the ‘New Weddington Wanderers’ Running Club!
