The New Weddington Isles' AFL (Australian Rules Football) Women's team continue to solidify their joint third place in the virtual "Carla's comp" Tipping League, missing out on a joint second by a mere 3 points in last round with Brisbane Lions beating Collingwood 35 to 32. However they will be looking to move up the ladder for the final 2 league rounds before the Finals/Elimination stages... a great showing for their inaugural season.

Meanwhile the Men's 'New Weddington Warriors' AFL Team are back in action tomorrow following a Covid hit season last year. They will competing in the 2021 Cactus Cup head-to-head league, via the official AFL Fantasy SuperCoach site,  so New Weddington Sports pundits will be busy today finalising their team of 30 players -
8 Defenders, 10 Midfielders, 4 Rucks and 8 Forwards - for the first game versus the 'SouthCity Numbats'.
